The identification problem is considered for OFDM communication channel suffering from multi-path interferences. It is shown that leakage errors arise due to the multi-path effects whose delay times exceed the guard interval. The property of leakage error is analyzed, and a new channel identification algorithm based on the leakage error estimation is proposed. It is clarified that the proposed algorithm can also work in a blind manner. Some numerical simulation examples illustrate its effectiveness.
