For the Hammerstein and Wiener systems the paper gives i) the strongly consistent estimates for the coefficients contained in the linear subsystem; ii) the strongly consistent estimate for f(u) at any u; iii) the optimal adaptive regulation control. No assumption is made on the structure of f(.). The estimates and adaptive control are given by the stochastic approximation algorithms with expanding truncations.
